Chilindo's returns and refund policy

We want you to feel confident when placing an order with us. This Returns & Refund Policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions and explains how returns, exchanges, refunds, and order issues are handled after your purchase, including what to do if an item arrives damaged, incorrect, or is not suitable.

 

By placing an order with us, you agree to the returns and refunds terms outlined below. Please review this policy carefully before completing your purchase, and contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility for a return, exchange, or refund.

The basics 

1. General

Because Chilindo sells food products, and for hygiene, safety, and quality reasons, we do not generally accept returns of opened, used, perishable, or otherwise non-resalable goods.

2. No general right of return

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases made through our Website are not subject to a general voluntary return right.

Returns are accepted only where:

  • the wrong item was delivered;

  • the item was damaged on arrival;

  • the item is defective; or

  • a return is required by mandatory law.

3. Reporting problems

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us at hola@chilindo.ch within 2–3 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • your order number;

  • a description of the issue;

  • clear photos of the item and packaging, where relevant.

4. Approved returns

If we approve a return or complaint, we may at our discretion:

  • replace the product;

  • refund the purchase price in full or in part; or

  • issue store credit.

Refunds are generally made using the original payment method.

5. Non-returnable items

The following items are not returnable unless defective or incorrectly delivered:

  • opened products;

  • perishable food items;

  • products not stored properly after delivery;

  • products damaged due to misuse or improper handling;

  • items marked as non-returnable or final sale.

6. Incorrect or damaged deliveries

If you receive the wrong item or a damaged product, please contact us promptly. We may request photos and further information before deciding on the appropriate remedy.

7. Return shipping

If a return is approved due to our error or a defective product, we will inform you whether the item must be returned and who bears the shipping cost.

Important: Do not send items back without our prior confirmation.
